Paidmark — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Paidmark (“the app”, “we”, “us”) helps freelancers and small businesses track unpaid invoices and follow up with clients to get paid. We built Paidmark to be private by design. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Paidmark does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There is no account to create, no server we control, no analytics, no advertising, and no trackers. Everything you enter stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud.

What data the app stores

The invoice and client details you add — client names, contact details, amounts, due dates, statuses, payments, and notes — are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). We have no access to this information.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Paidmark syncs your invoices across your own Apple devices using Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud database. This data is managed by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, is tied to your Apple ID, and is not accessible to us. We do not operate any server and never receive a copy of your data.

Sending reminders

When you send a follow-up, Paidmark drafts the message on your device and hands it to the app you choose — Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, or Telegram. You send it from your own account. Paidmark does not have an email or messaging server, does not send anything on its own, and cannot see your messages or your clients’ contact details.

Notifications

If you grant permission, Paidmark schedules local notifications to remind you about invoices that are due or overdue. These are generated and delivered on your device by iOS. We do not operate a push server and cannot see your reminders.

Exporting and sharing

Paidmark lets you export your data as a CSV file and share it using the standard iOS share sheet. When you do this, you decide where the file goes (Files, Mail, iCloud Drive, another app, etc.). Paidmark does not transmit your data on its own.

Purchases

Paidmark offers an optional “Paidmark Pro” subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. All payments and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your name, payment card, or billing address. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregate information about whether a purchase succeeded.

Widgets

The Paidmark widgets read a small snapshot of your receivables from a private, on-device app group container shared only between the app and its own widget. This data stays on your device.

Network requests

Paidmark works offline. It makes no network requests to any server we operate. The only network activity is Apple’s own iCloud sync and In-App Purchase, both handled by iOS — the details you enter never leave your device except through your private iCloud or actions you take yourself.

Children

Paidmark is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them (or from anyone — see above).

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in the app’s release notes.
